2024 Moorpark XC Invite Recap

The Agoura Chargers had a great showing at the Moorpark XC Invite on Friday September 13.

 

Agoura Boys were the overall meet team champions when all results were combined. 24 boys set new PRs at this meet!
Frosh Race:
Agoura Boys placed 5th out of 8 full teams (14 total teams). Freshman Dylan Stein placed 6th overall out of 101 runners in a PR 17:22 on the 3-mile course. Sam Safran was 2nd for Agoura with a PR of 19:38. Both boys medaled.
Soph Race
Agoura Boys won the Sophomore race with a dominant performance (1st out of 12 full teams). Ryuto Matsumoto (16:31) and Kamran Khursheed (16:37) finished 1st and 2nd respectively out of a field of 100 runners. All five Agoura scorers finished in the top 30 and earned medals.
Junior Race
Agoura Boys finished in 5th place out of 7 full teams (14 total teams). Ian Carew was the first runner to cross the finish line for Agoura, placing 10th overall out of 82 runners with a PR of 17:00
Senior Race
Agoura Boys finished in 2nd place out of 6 full teams (14 total teams). Dorian Bening was the first runner to cross the finish line for Agoura, placing 4th overall out of 54 runners with a PR of 15:47, followed by JP Glynn (6th) and Agam Moyal (7th).

 

Agoura girls also had strong results…
Frosh Race
Sloane McGinnis medaled finishing in the top 25 (23:27) out of 64 runners.
Sophomore Race
Cora Rossitto finished 14th (PR 21:39) of 80 runners, earning her a medal.
Junior Race
There were 3 top 25 finishers – Reese Tamburro came in 3rd (18:50), followed by Jenna Johnson (7th, 20:14), and Paige Piedmonte (12th, 21:19).
