Westlake Warriors JV Runs Away With Early Lead in Victory

Chargers watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 5-0 loss to Westlake Warriors JV on Friday. Westlake Warriors JV scored on a double by Mason Charles in the first inning and a triple by Noah Stead in the second inning.

Westlake Warriors JV got things moving in the first inning, when Charles doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

One bright spot for Chargers was a single by Cory Baer in the second inning.

Bryce Lermer led things off on the mound for Westlake Warriors JV. The fireballer lasted seven innings, allowing six hits and zero runs while striking out four.

Nathan Conmy started the game for Chargers. Conmy lasted five innings, allowing eight hits and five runs while striking out two. Thomas Novak threw one inning in relief.

Chargers racked up six hits on the day. Baer and Ty Starling each collected multiple hits for Chargers. Starling and Baer each collected two hits to lead Chargers.
