2024 Cool Breeze Recap

Despite the heat, the Agoura HS XC teams performed strong at the Cool Breeze Invitational on Saturday August 31. This first meet of the year is held annually at the Pomona Fairplex.

Both teams kicked off the seasaon with notable marks. The girls team placed 6th out of 36 teams. Reese Tamburro came in 1st (18:42) out of 300 runners and was honored with title Daily News Girls Athlete of the Week. Read about Reese here!

Jenna Johnson, Paige Piedmonte, Cora Rossitto, Sloan McGinnis and Gwen Carpenter all contributed to Agoura’s standing.

Boys JV ranked 2nd in their division.

Varsity finished 14th out of 30 teams. Ethan Deleau was Agoura’s top runner with a time of 15:42, Dorian Bening was 2nd for the Chargers with a time of 15:47 and JP Glynn was 3rd for the Chargers finishing with a time of 15:49.
