It was an exciting day for the boys team at the State XC Championships held at Woodward Park, Clovis.

Despite suffering a couple of setbacks, with Dorian Bening feeling off for the first time this season, and Ryuto Matsumoto getting caught in a multi-runner fall during the race, the boys still managed to finish in 10th Place out of the top 25 teams from around the state.

Only 34 points separated the teams from 10th to 5th places, one of the slimmest scoring margins in the top 10 that we’ve seen at State. Had luck been a little more on our side, the results could have been different. There are no regrets, and the team has kept their heads up knowing that we gave the best that we could give in this race. It was a great season!
