2024 League Finals
It was a great day of racing at this years Marmonte League Finals hosted by Agoura High School Cross Country! It was particularly special as it was also senior day. All senior XC runners were celebrated during the meet.
JV Boys
The JV Boys XC team won the 2024 Marmonte League XC Finals. It was a very tight battle with Westlake in the first half of the race, but the JV Chargers surged in the second half on their way to a big win. The JV Chargers were led by Ian Carew who ran a PR time of 16:47 to place 2nd overall in the race and the JV team placed 5 runners in the top 10 to clinch the win.
Varsity Boys
Agoura’s Varsity Boys XC team took 2nd Place at the 2024 Marmonte League XC Finals to advance to the Southern Section playoffs. The Chargers were led by Dorian Bening and JP Glynn who ran 15:35 and 15:36 respectively to both place in the top 10. Agoura’s first five runners all ran the 3-mile course in under 16 minutes, a feat that has not been accomplished in several seasons. The team next competes at the CIF Southern Section Prelims at Mt. Sac on Nov. 16th.
Girls XC
it was also a good day of racing for the Girls Cross Country team. While their season as a team has ended, Reese Tamburro has qualified as an individual to compete in the CIF postseason races and a chance to compete at the CIF State meet if she qualifies.
The girls JV finished 4th as a team and had good performances from Sloane McGinnis and Fernanda Smith, our top 2 finishers. Season Personal records were set by Abby “Steiner” Horowitz, Amelia ” Chuck” Grant, Zoe Severin and Maddie McNabb.
