2024 Mt. SAC recap

Friday October 25, Agoura XC teams travelled to Walnut for the 76th Annual Mt. Sac Invitational.  Both Girls XC and Boys XC had great success among the competitors that day.
Agoura Girls Varsity placed 3rd within their division with Reese Tamburro finishing 3rd (19:40), followed by Jenna Johnson placing 10th (21:21), Sydney Maunu (22:17), Cora Rossitto (22:32), and Paige Piedmonte (23:13). Notable callout was Sloane McGinnis, who placed 14th in the Freshman race (23:54) out of 79 runners.
Agoura BXC had a good day as well.
In the Freshmen Boys race, Agoura was led by Dylan Stein who placed 14th overall out of 287 runners in a time of 18:36 on the new 3-mile course. The 6-man freshmen team placed 18th out of 23 teams.
The Sophomore Boys team was led by Gage McGinnis who placed 17th out 193 runners, moving up 10 places in the final mile to finish with a time of 18:37. The Sophomore boys team placed 6th out of 17 teams.
The JV Chargers were led by Ian Carew (11) who placed 7th out of 141 runners with a time of 17:30 to help pace the JV team to a 4th place finish out of 13 teams.
In the premier Team Sweepstakes race, Agoura’s Varsity Boys surged in the second half of the race, moving up six places to take 4th overall out of 17 ranked teams from around the state. The Chargers were led by JP Glynn and Dorian Bening who finished 12th and 14th overall with times of 15:53 and 15:56 respectively.
